Musical Equipment Online - Welcome!

It doesn't matter whether you play guitar, sing, drum, DJ, or mix sound, there is always one good rule of thumb to follow - Always get some professional advice and do your homework before buying anything online.

Despite some peoples concept of always going with the lowest price, consider this: There is nothing more disappointing than a talented performer using sub par equipment. A poor microphone, for example, can make the most melodic voice sound muffled and distorted. Cheap stringed instruments such as guitars and basses are usually much more difficult to play - this is not the answer for any musician, especially beginners.

As you probably already know, the internet is a goldmine for finding great deals on many musical instruments. However, along with these great deals are many not so great deals.

As mentioned above, do your homework. Get all the details of the brand and model number you're interested in and get to work. Typing this information into Google or Yahoo for example, will bring up a ton of information. Look for 'forums' or 'user review' type sites. These will often contain dozens of user reviews, and give you a good idea if the product or online store you're thinking about is reputable.

Additionally, head down to you local music store and ask questions. Keep in mind, sales clerks will frequently be biased towards certain products (they are commissioned, after all), so take this information with a grain of salt.

Remember, patience is key. Your reward will be getting the gear you want at a great price.

Regards,
Dave F.
